Maitree De-Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre

Maitree is a Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre started due to the need & vision of a drug-free society. Drug Addiction is a disease that affects a person’s physical and mental health, relationships, and sense of morality.
This disease has a way of recurring and needs a total change in the attitude of the patient for any meaningful recovery.
Maitree uses a multidimensional intervention in which they try to minimize the use of psychiatrist prescribed medication to relieve the patient of intense withdrawals, validate & observe the patient’s history and guide them to self-discovery through group therapy and individual counseling sessions. There is a strong culture of helping each other as a family and everyone is encouraged to take responsibility and ownership. The Maitree team works towards helping patients regain their confidence and self-esteem. Patients have access to a gymnasium, library, musical instruments, art materials, an in-house monthly magazine, and Yoga & Meditation sessions. Maitree is the patient’s halfway home before getting absorbed in the social mainstream.
Addiction affects each one of us directly or indirectly. Maitree is trying its best to handle the socially debilitating menace of alcohol & drugs addiction.
